Holland Conservation Commission

Minutes of Commission meeting held on June 28, 2011.

Present: Mary vandenBerg, Chairperson, Marcia Beal, Patricia Caron, Mary Lovett and Marianne Martone.  Absent: Nathan Gumlaw and James Wettlaufer.

Chairperson called the meeting to order.  The minutes of the June 14, 2011 meeting were read and accepted and will be distributed.

7:30 p.m.  The scheduled Public Hearing of a Notice of Intent for Mary vandenBerg’s project to repair a septic system at 26 Hamilton Dr., DEP File #184-0259 was held.  Mary vandenBerg, Chairperson recused herself.  No abutters came.  Mark Farrell of Green Hill Engineering reviewed the plot plan.  Following discussion, all were in favor of the project.  Marsha Beal made a motion, and all were in favor to close the hearing at 7:55 p.m.  Members signed the Order of Conditions.

8:00 p.m.  The scheduled Public Hearing of a Notice of Intent for the estate of Janice Swenson’s project to repair a septic system at 27 Hamilton Dr., DEP File #184-0258 was held. Mary vandenBerg, Chairperson recused herself.  No abutters came.  Mark Farrell of Green Hill Engineering reviewed the plot plan.  Following discussion, all were in favor of the project.  Mary Lovett made a motion, and all were in favor to close the hearing at 8:20 p.m.  Members signed the Order of Conditions.

Mark Farrell gave us a check paying the Town for a Notice of Intent for Peter Woodward of 39 Craig Rd. to repair a septic system and a Request for Certificate of Compliance for Robert and Anita Back of 34 Hamilton Dr., DEP File #184-0246 whose project was to repair a septic system.

A Public Hearing for Peter Woodward is scheduled for July 12 at 7:30 p.m.  A site visit of Robert and Anita Back’s project will be done.

8:30 p.m.  John Jacoby of 28 Leno Rd. spoke of his concern that his neighbor is discharging water off of his property and into an adjacent stream. The Commission is not familiar with this stream – not on any of our maps.  A site visit is tentatively scheduled for July 9 at 9:00 a.m.

8:35 p.m.  Rick Polverari of 7 Sunset Ln. presented his Notice of Intent to repair his deteriorating lake front wall.  He was given an Affidavit of Service form, and told he has to notify abutters within 100’ of the project by Certificate of Mailing.

8:55 p.m.  James LaBilois builder presented Procedure Sheet 2008-1466 for Robert and Bethany Bellerive of 25 Vinton Rd., Map R-09-A-09 to demolish existing burned dwelling and build a new 26’ x 32’ 2-bedroom house.  He was informed a Notice of Intent would be required.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:05 p.m.
